Last day of June 2007

I can hardly believe today is the last day of June and tomorrow will be July 1. Where does the time go? I'm about to have my coffee. I don't think I can function without my coffee. I can hear my husband channel surfing in the other room. He and the girls are going out for a bit, and I should have some quiet time at home, alone. Well, not home, not our home. Some friends of ours who live next door to us-in apt 102, have allowed us to move us and our stuff into their apartment, since they are in New Jersey much of the year. We are here until our house in New York closes. "So, where do you think we might go?"-I can hear Sophia saying in the other room. They'll go to Home Depot or something like that. Maybe they'll go to a park or something. I feel pretty sideways today-I haven't slept well this week. I seem to be dealing well with the move and all that extra stuff that comes with it (like living the way we are, with our stuff crammed on top of another apartment full of stuff), then I have some nights where I cannot fall asleep, then wake up early. I cannot really complain. Our condo sold, we didn't have any problems with the buyer or anything. We've found a lovely home in Syracuse. It's just that feeling of being unsettled, I guess. I often say, "Well, this time next month, we should be in our new house...." I've looked at the temps in Syracuse for this week several times....70's during the day, 50's at night. Those are my favorite temps here in Florida in January, IF we get a cold spell. Should be in the 80's and plenty humid today. Well, I will go now and get that cup of coffee. I'll blog more later.

Just Before Bedtime

It's just before bedtime for my kids, so this'll be a short first blog. Alis and Soph, ages 11 and 7, are now playing a board game with their Dad in the other room. We're in the middle of a big move right now. The girls just helped me pack up a huge box of clothes we are not using too much right now, but we will need in New York. Yup, we're moving far away from Pompano Beach, FL. It's time for a change...
